Protect Your Weekend - Its Not a Weakness!

I've met all kinds of people at work.
The loud ones, always quick with an answer. The quiet ones, who often had the real wisdom. And then the weekend warriors — the ones who made a show of working on Saturdays and Sundays, as if it proved something.
I'll never forget one colleague early in my career. He was soft-spoken, almost invisible in meetings. Never bragged about how many late nights or weekends he put in. But when Monday came around, he was sharp, focused, calm. His work spoke louder than any weekend email ever could.
That's when I learned: real performance doesn't come from burning yourself out. It comes from building balance.
Work with intensity during the week, stay late when it's truly needed. But let weekends be weekends — time for family, for rest, for remembering who you are outside of work.
The people who return on Monday with energy and clarity are the ones who go further.
Working weekends doesn't prove commitment. Living a full life, and still excelling at your work, does.
Protect your weekend. You'll thank yourself on Monday.
